Heart of Worship
There was a time when I thought that to give God your worship was to sing a song in front of a congregation. I thought that to pour out all your heartfelt sound on the platform was enough. How far from the truth that is, I've learned from my pain that true worship is in your daily living. How you respond to His calling, the way you seek him in daily prayer. How you want nothing more than to know all there is about the one who created you.
To pour out all for Him, yes the action of singing is a great gift to express your worship but it isn't what defines true worship. I thank God for giving me many different ways to express how I love Him. But I found that even if I didn't have a voice, I'd still have the most important form of worship within me and that is my daily seeking Him, living according to His truth which is His word and going forth and sharing it with the world. I adore Him and want Him to consume every part of my being. I want to be His light in the darkness and let others come to know Him through me.
Here is a cover I did of Brooke Fraser's Lord of Lords, one of my favorite songs.
